METRO SOUTH HEALTH AREA

METRO SOUTH HEALTH AREA and information professionals

Both Metro North and Metro South Queensland health districts were in the process of migrating their older versions of Cerner Millennium solutions which support their hospitals with Patient Care to a newer centralised version of the Cerner solution. Each district current solution is integrated with other Clinical systems using two integration solutions: an older version of E*Gate from Oracle and a new version also from Oracle called JCAPS.
Information Professionals was asked to assist with the interfaces development of the project specifically with the integration to 4 existing Radiology systems. Our work also included the development of three technical specifications:

  • The Integration Requirement Specification document,
  • The Solution Architecture, and
  • Interfaces Specifications.

To date all interfaces have been build and the integration solutions is currently in testing phase.

NUPLEX

NUPLEX AND INFORMATION PROFESSIONALS

This ASX listed chemical manufacturer was embarking upon a global ERP implementation. They had grown significantly through acquisition and had a range of disparate systems and processes that they wished to standardise across their global operations. They had selected the MS Dynamics AX solution but were yet to finalise consulting/systems integration needs.
IPG was requested to assist with a review at the early stages of the global program, and help them appoint an appropriate Systems Integration partner, establishing the terms and joint KPIs and plans. IPG also assisted with risk management, change management, program planning and assurance over the term of the program.  The program was successfully delivered, providing the CIO and CFO with the results they were seeking.

QUEENSLAND HEALTH

QUEENSLAND HEALTH and Information Professionals

IPG developed an ICT Sourcing Strategy across Desktop Services, Service Desk, Network and Telecommunications, Software Asset Management, Applications Development and Hosting. It considered service performance and cost benchmarks, suitability for outsourcing, industry trends and benchmarks, and market scanning to identify available cost effective external services. A Decision Framework guided the most appropriate Cloud Services Model for different situations. The recommended strategy included selective outsourcing including cloud solutions, use of multi-source arrangements, in-house services and capability development in strategy, architecture and vendor management. Cost savings of 10% to 12% have been projected as a consequence of Strategy.

SYDNEY HARBOUR FORESHORE AUTHORITY

SYDNEY HARBOUR FORESHORE AUTHORITY AND INFORMATION PROFESSIONALS

Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority (SHFA) holds responsibility for the maintenance and/or management of some of Sydney’s most iconic places.  This includes Darling Harbour and Circular Quay among many others.  While the Authority is not of the size of the Department its business is of similar complexity.
In 2013, the Authority initiated the implementation of an ERP solution in the Cloud or As A Service.  Information Professionals was engaged to develop the business for this implementation and program manage the implementation.  The implementation encompasses a number of modules: Finance, Asset Management, BI and Portal.
In addition to providing a number of standard service elements for this implementation:
•    Requirement analysis
•    As-Is and To-Be process review and mapping
•    Organisation Change management and training arrangement
•    Data migration
•    System, integration and security provisioning
Information Professionals has had to specify and design a number of ancillary functions which are currently being developed.  This became a requirement and the SAP ByDesign solution is not able be heavily modified as it is a Software As A Service option.  SharePoint and Web technologies are being used to complement SAP functionality.
