IPG developed an ICT Sourcing Strategy across Desktop Services, Service Desk, Network and Telecommunications, Software Asset Management, Applications Development and Hosting. It considered service performance and cost benchmarks, suitability for outsourcing, industry trends and benchmarks, and market scanning to identify available cost effective external services. A Decision Framework guided the most appropriate Cloud Services Model for different situations. The recommended strategy included selective outsourcing including cloud solutions, use of multi-source arrangements, in-house services and capability development in strategy, architecture and vendor management. Cost savings of 10% to 12% have been projected as a consequence of Strategy.
