Both Metro North and Metro South Queensland health districts were in the process of migrating their older versions of Cerner Millennium solutions which support their hospitals with Patient Care to a newer centralised version of the Cerner solution. Each district current solution is integrated with other Clinical systems using two integration solutions: an older version of E*Gate from Oracle and a new version also from Oracle called JCAPS.
Information Professionals was asked to assist with the interfaces development of the project specifically with the integration to 4 existing Radiology systems. Our work also included the development of three technical specifications:
To date all interfaces have been build and the integration solutions is currently in testing phase.

IPG have been approached to provide a range of senior management personnel to work alongside department staff and assist in the Program’s successful delivery.
To date, IPG are providing the Program Delivery Manager, several Project Managers and Test Manager.
They are helping create a co-ordinated and well managed team, leveraging from both personnel and from IPG methodologies. The program remains on track.
This ASX listed chemical manufacturer was embarking upon a global ERP implementation. They had grown significantly through acquisition and had a range of disparate systems and processes that they wished to standardise across their global operations. They had selected the MS Dynamics AX solution but were yet to finalise consulting/systems integration needs.
IPG was requested to assist with a review at the early stages of the global program, and help them appoint an appropriate Systems Integration partner, establishing the terms and joint KPIs and plans. IPG also assisted with risk management, change management, program planning and assurance over the term of the program. The program was successfully delivered, providing the CIO and CFO with the results they were seeking.
This water utility was in need of redesigning its business, processes and systems to bring about improved productivity, integration and customer service, and bring opportunities for new revenue.
IPG was engaged to develop ICT and Business Transformation Strategies and support their implementation.
The strategies articulated a case for change via a clear picture of current and future state, linked the improvement outcomes to the corporate vision, and defined governance, investment and transformation activities. IPG provided Program and Project Planning, PMO related assistance, Business Case Development, Benefits Management, Business Analysis and Change Management, at both the Program and Project levels.
Strong corporate support has been achieved, and a number of projects have concluded successfully. The Program remains ongoing.
IPG developed an ICT Sourcing Strategy across Desktop Services, Service Desk, Network and Telecommunications, Software Asset Management, Applications Development and Hosting. It considered service performance and cost benchmarks, suitability for outsourcing, industry trends and benchmarks, and market scanning to identify available cost effective external services. A Decision Framework guided the most appropriate Cloud Services Model for different situations. The recommended strategy included selective outsourcing including cloud solutions, use of multi-source arrangements, in-house services and capability development in strategy, architecture and vendor management. Cost savings of 10% to 12% have been projected as a consequence of Strategy.
